Late PDP Chairman, Alhaja Balogun son, Taiwo Balogun appoints as Supervisor in Kosofe

The Late Ogudu Ojota Chapter of the People Democratic Party, PDP Ward Chairman, Alhaja Balogun, who doubles as Chairman of the Ward Chairmen Forum, and her son, Taiwo Balogun, were among the 11 cabinet members sworn-into office in Kosofe Local Government last week.
TBag, as better known, contested for the Ogudu “Ward G” area of Kosofe Local Government Councilorship on the platform of the Labour Party in 2017. As a result of the protracted crisis engulfing the People’s Democratic Party national headquarters between Senator Modu Sherrif and Senator Ahmed Markafi, which led to the factionalization of the Lagos State chapter,
However, he lost the councilorship contest to the immediate past councilor representing Ogudu, Hon. Bolaji Kazeem, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Shortly after the election, he returned back to the PDP and worked tirelessly for the incumbent Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Mr. Moyo Ogunlewe, who clinched the PDP ticket for Kosofe Constituency 1 for the second term in 2019.
TBag decamped to APC. Shortly after the 2019 general elections, he ran alongside the incumbent Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Moyo Ogunlewe. However, his attempt to clinch the Ogudu Ori Oke Councilorship ticket on the platform of APC during the 2021 Local Government Election was not successful.
