The past representatives representing the constituency spent two terms of eight years. However, the two frontline contestants for the seat are keeping their game close to their chest in their bid to achieve the third term agenda, or 3-direct feat.

The incumbent lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye, and his predecessor, Hon. Dayo Bush, who spent two terms while in office, aggressively pushed to return to the house, which has generated a lot of political discourse.
While new entrants into the race were praying for the duo of Rotimi Agunsoye and Dayo Bush to be advised to withdraw from the race and heed the floor for others, the two-term lawmakers continued to intensify their lobby with delegates and party stakeholders.
