Court affirmed Elebo’s as the only recognized Ruling House in Oworonshoki

An Ikeja High Court on Wednesday affirmed Elebo’s as the only recognized ruling house in the Oworonshoki area of Kosofe Local Government, Lagos.

The recent landmark judgement by Justice L.A Oluyemi has once again put to rest the claims and counterclaims by other self-acclaimed ruling houses such as Jegede, Kajola, Miyaki, Ajisegiri, and others to a final rest.

In a separate suit filed at the Lagos High Court, the Baale of Olubori, a member of Miyaki’s royal family, is also challenging the Elebo Royal family over obaship.

However, what seems to be the major issue was the lawsuit allegedly instituted by Special Adviser on Land Matters to Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and incumbent Kosofe Local Government Vice Chairman, Babatunde Saliu, a member of the Elebo’s ruling house, who is also contesting for the vacant seat with his senior brother against the majority family decision.

Kosofe Post reported earlier that the Head of the Elebo’s Saliu Salami ruling house, the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Kolawole, Oba Elect of Gbagada, Oke Alo, Anthony Mende Maryland area of Kosofe LG, Hrm Oba Abeeb Adesina Akolawole Faronbi, Eringoke Alo1 and family members elected Aremo Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu, Elebo 2, as the next Oloworo of Oloworo.
