House of Reps: Owokoya takes protest to bourdilon

The All Progressives Congress Aspirant, Abiodun Owokoya Mayowa, for the just concluded Kosofe Federal Constituency House of Representatives Primaries Election on Monday, took his grievances to the Bourdilon residence of Lagos State Ex-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Kosofe: Controversy over House of Rep primary election result

While the incumbent lawmaker, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye, and his predecessor, Arch. Dayo Bush, were advised to withdraw from the race, Owokoya aka Abbey Cheche, went on to participate in the exercise held last Friday at IKosi Isheri LCDa Secretariat.

Abbey Cheche, who criticized the secrecy surrounding delegate lists and primary election processes, later left the venue shortly after accredited delegates voted for their preferred candidate.

The APC National leader, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was far away in Abuja for his Presidential screening as at the time, Abbey Cheche, and no fewer than 100 aggrieved APC members stormed his residence to register their grievances.

According to a source close to the protest, Owokoya claimed that kangaroo primaries were held with a forged delegate list under the supervision of the party’s returning officer, Mr. Fuad Oki, and others.
