The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, has congratulated the newly crowned Oloworo of Oworo Kingdom, Prince Babatunde Saliu, on his emergence as the monarch of Oloworo Kingdom.
The council boss, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Taiwo Fadipe, said “the appointment and ascension of my vice, marks the beginning of a new era in Oworoshoki Kingdom”.
Ogunlewe noted that the new traditional ruler’s experience in the corporate world, administration, politics and the traditional institution had prepared him for the new royal duties he is assuming.
He urged the new Oworoshoki monarch to discharge his duties with the fear of God, passion, commitment and have the heart of a servant and readiness to carry his people along in day-to-day decision-making for the progress of the kingdom.
The council boss, who congratulated the new monarch also prayed for his success.
He urged him to work with the government and other traditional rulers across the state and country to foster peace, harmony and socio-economic development across the country.
He prayed that as he ascended to the throne of the Oba of Oworoshoki Kingdom, “God Almighty will grant him wisdom and courage he requires to oversee further progress and greater prosperity for his people.”
The chairman wished the new Oba a “long and highly” successful reign in the service of his people and country.
