Oloworo of Oworo, Oba Saliu marks 21-Day Ascension on throne

The Oloworo of Oworo Kingdom, Oba Babatunde Saliu, Elebo 2, celebrated his 21st day of his ascension to the throne of his ancestors with special prayers and fanfare on Tuesday.

An Islamic scholar, Alhaji Abdulhameed Kilani Kolawole, who delivered a lecture as part of the 21st day of his ascension activities at the Oloworo’s palace in Olowonshoki kingdom, said traditional rulers must continue to put God first in all they do.

Kelani said that the Oloronshoki kingdom was enjoying peace and tranquillity under Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin because he was sincere and always put God first in all things.

He noted that in spite of all the odds and challenges associated with the position he occupies, God has remained faithful.

He appealed to the king to continue to put God first while praying for him to live long on the throne.
 
Oba Babatunde thanked the Kosofe league of Iman and alfas led by Alhaji Sanusi for their unwavering support and fervent prayers.

While showering his royal blessings on them and the entire community, Oba Babatunde urged the Islamic cleric to continue to pray for peace and stability, development, and security of lives and property in the Oworonshoki kingdom.
 
He further assured them that he would continue the late Oloworo Oba Bashr Oloruntoyin’s legacy with them.

According to the KosofePost, the event was attended by Oba Babatunde Saliu, Oloworo of Oworo, Oba Kabiru Kalawole, Oba Alani Agbabiaka, the Osolo of Isolo, and others.

Others are: Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru, Shangisha of Shangisha, Baale Idris Saliu, High Chief, Ayoola Adams Oseni, Baale of Anthony Village, and other traditional rulers.Mr. Gbenga David, Kosofe Local Government Department Head, Mrs. Funmi Odutolu, and other Kosofe traditional rulers, political leaders, and sons and daughters of the Oworonski kingdom were also present.

KP reports that a masquerade display, a band brigade, and traditional singers, among others, performed at the event.
