A press statement was signed on Thursday by Adewale Aderibigbe and Musiliu Isiaka, the Lagos East Coordinator and Secretary of the group.
JAGG has declared support for three candidates with remarkable good governance records in the Lagos East Senatorial district, namely; Hon. Abdulwaheed Odunuga for Kosofe Federal House of Representative; Hon. Jide Bakare for Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosofe 2 Constituency; and Hon. Adekunle Razaq Aderibigbe for Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu 1 Constituency under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
In the statement, “We have always promoted and made recommendations towards good governance in the interest of the people. We had declared our support for these three candidates because they had previously engaged in the struggle for good governance, an anti-corruption crusade, and provided and secured empowerment and projects for the communities.
Attitudes like voter apathy, vote buying exchange, and other anomalies should be discouraged and condemned at all levels and forums. We cannot continue to do things the same way and expect different results. When electorates do things rightly, good governance will be established.”
The NNPP candidates listed above in the Lagos East District have sponsored and facilitated the inclusion of constituents in various government programs; provided free health plans; and facilitated infrastructure rehabilitation and various forms of empowerment. We are sure these candidates will offer youthful, quality representation and an interest in the people.
