Jigi- Bola Relaunch: Lagos council chair leads residents to 4th edition of BOSKOH HMI medical outreach

The Executive Chairman of the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area of Lagos, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada,
On Thursday, they mobilized residents to participate in the fourth edition of the BOSKOH HMI medical outreach.

The 3-day free medical program covers medical consultation and surgery, hearing aids, eye tests and eyeglasses, and dental services, among others.

The well-attended programme, styled after Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2019, was held at Ikosi-Isheri LCDA secretariat, Lagos.

While speaking with the presmen, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, expressed her joy. She said that the people of the local council are happy, and it makes her happy.

She added that the feedback she has been getting from the people of Ikosi has made her fulfilled.

The programme was held under the direct supervision of the council chairman.

She further appealed to all citizens to go for the collection of their permanent voters’ cards once they’re available for pick-up.

“Don’t leave your PVC there; it is what you are going to use to show the love you have for Isheri, Lagos, Gov. Sanwo-Olu, and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to become the next president of Nigeria,” she said

Also speaking at the event, Mrs. Nike Osas, the CEO of BOSKOH HMI, who represented Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, eulogized the leadership qualities of the council chairman, adding that the people are organized because of her.

“Also, some of the beneficiaries that saw the effectiveness of the programme have become volunteers.”

Continuing, Mrs. Nike Osas said when the program started, it had just 150 volunteers.

She added that the First Lady of Lagos State started putting the volunteer team together and now there are 961 volunteers.

“We started in 2019, with 150 volunteers. The First Lady of Lagos State started putting all the volunteer teams together, and today, there are 961 volunteers, which shows the magnitude of how many people in Lagos State have joined the volunteer team.”

However, a supervisor of BOSKOH HMI, Mrs. Tunji Oghara Helen, mentioned that the Jigi-Bola relaunch initiative was created to eradicate blindness.

“If you cannot read, especially when you are in the office, you will not be productive. The initiative is to prevent blindness in the state.”

Meanwhile, Mrs. Oladipupo Olayinka, a BOSKOH mission volunteer and Assistant Supervisor Isheri-Ikosi, advised all program participants to always follow-up on their health status.

In attendance at the event was Ikosi Isheri Lcda Vice Chairman, Hon. Yinka Ogunleye, Leader in Council of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Legislative Arm,Hon. Yinusa Salami, and members, Mrs. Nike Osas( BOSKOH HMI), Senior Management staff, and several others.

Mrs. Nike Osas, Mrs. Akerele Funmilayo, Hon. Yinka Ogunleye, Deputy Mayor of Ikosi-Isheri, Hon. Yinusa Salami, Leader of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Hon. Biliamu, Deputy Leader, Hon. Gbade Adekoya, Majority Leader, and others were present.
