The emergence of the Labour Party candidate for Kosofe Constituency 1, Lagos State of Assembly, Kafilat Olapeju Fasasi, has further increased women’s participation in political processes.

As women made Nigeria proud by winning gold, silver, and bronze medals at the recently concluded 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG), the experience and productivity of women in politics when given more leadership responsibilities is no longer in question.
