The late Madam Victoria Oyinade Adedeji, the mother of a business consultant and politician, the former Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. (Bar) Adedeji Ademuyiwa, buried last weekend in her country home in Epe, is worth revisiting.
The burial attracted massive guests despite the fact that the ceremony coincided with the popular annual Epe Kayokayo festival and over 50 different parties across Epe, Lagos.

The overbooked hotels, transportation surge, and high cost of transportation, among other factors, did not deter thousands of guests as they defied rain to be present to honour the Adedeji family.
Ademuyiwa might have quit or taken sabbatical leave from active politics over a decade, unlike a typical Nigerian politician, who died or vowed to die in politics, to focus on his business interests.
However, many people whom he influenced through his position in office and the business community stormed the venue to show their concern and love for the Adedeji family.
The guests were treated to a variety of sumptuous eat-in and takeaway foods coupled with imported wines; several guests went home with them.
The testament at the three-day event of Ademuyiwa’s mom’s burial described him as “like mother, like son” as service to humanity and philanthropist gesture blood ran beneat the skin of the Adedeji’s.
Adieu Madam Victoria Oyinade Adedeji.
