The reason why the Kosofe chapter of the Lagos State People’s Democratic Party abandoned the Mile12 party Secretariat to host the party Deputy State Governor, Funke Akindele, at the old Secretariat at Ogudu Ori Oke, has been revealed.
The death of Sulaimon Onaolapo Aka Arikuyeri, a top operative of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos, prompted the change of venue for the celebrity Akindele, who is currently touring the party in 20 LGAs across the state to express gratitude for their unwavering support for his election as Deputy Governor.

The party’s proactive measures truly define the meaning of “Arikuyeri,” which literarily means “evade death,” “escape death,” and “stay alive,” as warring groups attack each other.
According to our findings, the party’s annual rent just expired at the official party secretariat.
According to a source, as the 2023 general election approaches, the party is considering relocating its officials from the violence-prone area to a more secure environment due to the failure of the Lagos state government to curb the alarming rate of cult clashes over the past four years.
