The Independent Electoral Commission ( INEC) has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress First Female House of Representatives Candidate, Kafilat Ogbara’s, nomination.
She was among the 24 federal constituencies candidates of the party announced on September 20 by the Independent Electoral Commission for the 2023 general elections.
The Kosofe Post (KP) reported that Ogbara won the APC House of Reps primary election held on May 27, 2022, where she pulled 44 votes out of 50 to emerge as the party flagbearer.
Ogbara’s nomination led to massive protests by supporters of Agunsoye and Mr. Abiodun Owokoya, another contestant.
However, the INEC announcement of Ogbara has finally laid to rest the issue surrounding the authentic candidate of the party in Kosofe for 2023 general election.
Other political parties’ Kosofe House of Representatives candidates announced include Abdulwaheed Omotayo(NNPP), Adepegba Florence ( PDP), Ogundiji Mary (SDP), and Jimoh Omotoke(A), respectively.
