The candidates of the New Nigeria People’s Party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omotayo Odunuga (Kosofe Federal Constituency) and Comrade Babajide Badejoko Bakare (Kosofe 2 Constituency LAHA) have joined all other patriots of our great nation to celebrate our Independence Day.
The two candidates of the new bride of Kosofe politics (NNPP), who have picked up their tickets to build a more prosperous and greater Kosofe have commended the labours of our founding fathers and other great nationalists and civil right activists, who have played their utmost part in keeping our nation together. And they are also calling on all men of good standing and like-minds not to give up in the rescue mission of delivering our nation, and particularly Kosofe Constituency from cankerworm politicians.
In his words, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omotayo Odunuga, attributed the true development of any nation to the developmental strides achieved at the different constituency or community level. In other words, every development of every nation is local, and must commence from the local government level. He therefore used the occasion of the independence day celebration to reaffirm his commitment to using the instrumentality of the law at the legislative chamber, and through a robust oversight function to bring a transparent and visible development to Kosofe.
The NNPP Kosofe Federal Constituency candidate further highlighted the key areas of interest he is going to build when he is elected into the green chambers to include the areas of Education, Youth and Women Employment, and Empowerment, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Health, Sports and Social Services, and Community Development.
On his part, Comrade Babajide Bakare, the Kosofe 2 Constituency candidate of the NNPP is particularly calling on all youths and the younger generation constituent of our nation to seize this moment of our national independence celebration to begin to take back their nation for good by getting actively involved in all facet of nation building.
The community development advocate insists that with the current statistics of 70% of our nation under age 30, and 42% under age 15, our nation is one that is well primed for a monumental growth and development if the younger generation will arise, take their destiny into their own hands, and obey the clarion call to salvage the soul of this nation.
He also used the opportunity of the independence celebration to reaffirm his campaign commitment of working with the different stakeholders in the private and public space to ensure value creation and business sustainability for our SMEs in Kosofe 2 Constituency by facilitating access to trade-tied financial Platforms for our youths, artisans, market men and women.
