What October 1st is to every Nigerian, is worth more than gold to the Lawal’s family, who hosted friends, family, neighbors, and residents of Kosofe to celebrate the Alhaja Sidiqat Iyabo Lawal, who clocked 85 years.
The Kosofe Post reports that the Islamic clerics led prayers and thanksgiving sections at the space: Daniel Makinde, Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos.
The celebrant husband, Muhammed Sabitu Lawal, described his amiable wife as one out of a hundred women while showering encomium on her.
The 89-year old husband noted that he was extremely happy to witness the 85th birthday of his amazing wife, mother of eight.
“My wife is one out of a hundred women. I married my wife 60 years ago, and there were no quarrels, no misunderstandings between us. She understands me better than I understand her, “he said.
“I pray to God for us to celebrate more than this. We are celebrating her 85th birthday today, as well as her 90th, 100th, and 120th. Whatever God’s addition is after 120, we shall celebrate it.”
The celebrant’s first daughter, Mrs. Olabisi Olawuyi, said she’s a mother, friend, a good adviser, and everything to her. She thanked God and prayed for God’s continued mercy, joy, peace, and sound health for the octogenarian.
The celebrant lastborn, the Publisher of Kosofe inside out, myKosofe, Mr. Lekan Lawal, said Hajia, as she is fondly called, is not like regular mothers when eulogising her.
Haja’s is not like every other regular mother’s. For everything we are her children have become today, she played a critical and quantifiable role,” he said.
“My mother is 85 years old today. I am so happy for her. What a life of perpetual sacrifice. She has lived to give me and many others the best. We are truly blessed by her decades of immense love, prayers, and care, respectively.”
The delegation of the NNPP candidate for House Representatives, Abdulwaheed Omotayo, was led by the Party Candidate for Kosofe Constituency 2, Babajide Bakare, and included PDP, APC, journalists, APCOM, business owners, community leaders, and Apcom members.
