The Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area has urged residents to make use of the council’s various platforms, which include a feedback platform for residents’ inputs on the council’s programmes and policies.
In his interview at the YGSS program on Sunday, the Special Adviser to the Agboyi Ketu Chairman on Civic Engagement, Ilelaboye Abideen Ademola, noted that the council’s open door policy and urge to key into it.
“Not quite too long ago, we had a town hall meeting to inform residents of Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s achievements so far and what we intend to do to improve the living standards of the citizens,” he said.
He added that completed and ongoing road projects, major canal desilting, housing schemes, security, government programs, among others, top the discussion.
On the state government projects such as Demurin, Agidi, and Church road construction, the drainage system is the most challenging part.
However, he noted that before the end of the year, residents will heave a sigh of relief.
On the disconnection between local government and residents, he advised residents to participate more actively in community development associations and townhall meetings and follow the council’s social media handles at the Agboyi Ketu Voice.
