A member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, popularly known as ROT, has surprised his constituents as he projected Olusegun Apena from Ward B area of Kosofe to the National Level through the facilitation of his appointment as senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The online media publisher, Apena, contested under LCDA arrangements for Ward C councilor in Kosofe.

He, however, succumbed to the party supremacy in favour of the incumbent councilor, Femi Oyesile, a Governor’s Advisory Council member, and Omoba Ademuyiwa Sosanya’s sponsored candidate.

Apena also did not make the list of statutory supervisors and special advisers appointed in Kosofe Local Government last August. Apena, who had been promised a long-awaited non-statutory appointment as Senior Special Assistant, or Special Adviser in Kosofe, was surprisingly appointed by the speaker through ROT.

His appointment came while another prominent youth and ace broadcaster from the Agboyi area of Kosofe, Prince Ibrahim Kehinde Oladega, was still being celebrated.

The House Committee on SDGs Chairman, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye, who is rounding up his second term in office, reported facilitating state and federal appointments for several of his constituents in the last 7 years.
