The lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, gave out his daughter, Oluwaromade Agunsoye, in marriage to her Congolese-born husband, Prodige Weto Tukala.
The Kosofe Post reports that last Saturday, the Agunsoye royal family held a glamorous traditional wedding for the couples.
The church wedding and reception were held at the Five Palm event center in the Lekki area of Lagos State on December 10, 2022.
The Chairman, House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, gave out Oluwaromade on behalf of the Agunsoye family.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Sen. Olorunnimbe Mamora, advised the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Tukala, to build their new relationship on the foundation of intimacy, tolerance, love, trust, and mutual respect, among others.
Mamora, who is the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation and who recently marked his 40th wedding anniversary, noted further that he was well-informed and experienced to counsel the couples on how to build a happy marriage life.
“Don’t discuss your issues; this is good for your friends; they are here on both sides. But don’t discuss your issue; let it stay between the two of you—no third party, no foreigner,” Olorunnimbe counsels the Tukala’s couples.
The minister also advised them to go on their knees before God Almighty and pray whenever they were having any marital challenges or issues.
Dignitaries who attended the wedding included the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the Former Minister of Works, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, Senator Ganiu Solomon, and Sen. Anthony Adefuye.
The dignitaries also included Lagos State Members of the House of Representatives, traditional leaders, and Farmcity International Chairman, Mr. Lanre Carew.
The former Ikosi Isheri LCSA Executive Secretary, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem; former lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency II, Dr. Ajibayo Adeyeye; and others.
The highlight of the colorful event was the cutting of the wedding cake and the bride’s father dancing with her daughter.
