Council Chairman kicks off Road Rehabilitation

It would be recalled that the present Mayor Dele Oshinowo administration has carried out several construction works on three major roads: Irawo Road, Thomas Laniyan Street, and Oterubi Ogidan Road, which the present road rehabilitation is connecting to ensure seamless vehicular movement. 

Abeokuta Street and Yinka Dipe Street are major thoroughfares that connect the huge vehicular flow in the Thomas, Irawo, and Ojomo communities to Weighbridge and Owode-Onirin Market. 

Speaking on the rehabilitation at the behest of the council mayor, the supervisor for works and infrastructure explained that the road projects are to ensure every part of the LCDA is connected to the development grid of the Mayor Dele Oshinowo administration.

While decrying the poor state of roads in the Owode-Ajegunle axis, Hon. Alaba announced that plans are far advanced for palliative work to commence on more roads in the axis.

He expressed his belief that the swift move of the present administration to focus on the upgrading of roads in the axis was to put smiles on the faces of the people, whose patience is long overdue.

The supervisor further stated that plans are in top gear to ensure the total reconstruction of Irawo Road by the Mayor Dele Oshinowo administration through a robust partnership with the Lagos State Government.

Meanwhile, the supervisor appealed to residents of the locality to cooperate with construction workers in order to ensure a smooth construction voyage.
