The All Progressives Congress candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara, has charged citizens of Lagos State that nothing less than 5 million votes are expected from the home-based Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 presidential project.
This comment was made while speaking to a journalist during the campaign flag-off of the Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Saheed’s re-election campaign flag-off held in Kosofe on Thursday.
This is the flag-off for the campaign of Hon. Femi Saheed, and we are very glad to be here. As a candidate, I am also glad to be here.
The excited Ogbara said the flag-off symbolizes that the campaign has started in full swing.
“This is a way of sensitizing his environment and constituents to the fact that the campaign has started in full swing. Even though we have already started a lot of work, this is to formally open up the flag that, yes, he’s starting to move into the whole constituency. so we appreciate him and wish him all the very best in his endeavor.”
She further appealed for votes for APC presidential candidate Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“I want to appeal to everybody across the state to ensure that APC gets all the votes in all the polling units. There’s no reason, there’s no excuse for us; this is not negotiable for us because we have the presidential candidate coming from Lagos State. The maximum number of votes out of the 7 million we have been told are registered in Lagos State means we need nothing less than 5 million votes in Lagos State. We have no excuse at all.
“Because we know that the candidate we have presented is credible and can deliver dividends of democracy, especially the presidential candidate, we know that he will give us a new Nigeria. We know that this is a man who can break barriers. We know that this is a man who has focus, who has action and passion, and who has a mission to ensure that he gives back to this country. Ashiwaju has done so much beyond Lagos State; Lagos State is just a testament to some of the things he can do.
“With a man, they could turn a liability into an asset, as in the case of Bar Beach. There’s nothing you expect from him that you will not see; we believe in him, we trust in him, and we know that if we are looking for that Nigeria, we have to all be clamoring for this opportunity that we have, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she said.
