His Royal Majesty, the Olu of Agboyi and Traditional Head of Agboyi Kingdom, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Kosofe, Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, Akinmasa1, has installed Chief Akeem Ogunjobi, on November 20, as the new Baale of Ora Kankan Nla town.
The installment was part of Olu of Agboyi’s 2nd anniversary, and the ceremony was witnessed by elders, chiefs, kings, and residents of Ora Kankan Nla and Agboyi. Some dignitaries who were present included the Olu of Agboyi, Olori Fatimah Oladega, the Akogun of Agboyi Kingdom, and Chief Ebenezer Ogunseye.
Others include Lukosi, Oluwo Ilisa, Odofin, Ajaye, and the Osugbos of Agboyi, among others.
The newly installed Baale Ora Kankan Nla was installed following his great track record of good deeds in the community and the immense development stride he has posed over time.
Speaking with the Kosofe Post at the installation event, the personal assistant to Oba Oladega, Hon. Muyideen OlaTunji Yusuf, expressed optimism that the newly installed Baale would tackle all necessary challenges faced by Ora Kankan Nla Town and its environs.
He added that all residents and community leaders should expect more development in the community, along with peace and harmony.
According to him, “He’s capable of ruling Ora Kankan Nla looking at his track record as a renowned philanthropist and how he has contributed immensely to the community at large.
“Oba Oba Oladega finally installed him as the Baale of Ora Kankan Nla as the ruling king that governs Ora Kankan Nla Ora and its environs.
“Henceforth, I’ll urge the community residents and chiefs to work hand in hand with the new Baale for the sole aim of promoting peace, unity, and development at large.”
Also, Akogun Ogunseye said the newly installed Baale had been a key personality in Ora Kankan Nla, adding that he was very certain that Chief Abiodun would do his best in his new appointment.
Chief Ogunjobi had promised residents of Ora Kankan Nla to expect great things.
According to him, “I’ll implore Ora Kankan Nla to be graciously waiting for great favor from what I’ll be doing within the town, and also the alliance between the Olu of Agboyi and Ora Kankan Nla will continue to move forward for the development of Agboyi lands.
“I’ll also call for unity among citizens of Ora Kankan Nla to abide by laid-down principles because a good citizen who is not a tribalistic or religiously inclined fellow should not be encouraged, and for the development of Ora Kankan Nla Land, unity must always be encouraged at all times,” he added.
