Olayiwola Suleiman, popularly known as Opomulero, has appealed to Nigerians to vote for the future of our children and unborn children in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Opomulero made the appeal during his New Year’s message to the good people of Kosofe, Lagos, and Nigeria on Friday morning.

He said, “I sincerely wish the good people of Kosofe Federal Constituency, the good people of Lagos State, and the good people of Nigeria a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead. Indeed, Nigeria is our country, and surely we cannot lose hope. And we should not lose hope. My message to everybody, even as we have approached the new year season and as we approach the 2023 election, is for all of humanity, both young and old, the youth, the women, the elders. Please shun less ethnic politics. And please, let’s stop religious politics.

“We need to understand that the future is no longer for us. The future is for our children. The future is for the kids who are unborn, for my colleagues, and for my grade level. I tell them how our parents have produced the Nigeria we live in today. And so for me, it is time to fight for Nigeria. I want my children to live. In Nigeria, there’s equality, and basic amenities to life are being provided by the government. I challenge you all, please, to not look back.

“Indeed, it’s a privilege for some of us to travel outside the country. And I can tell you what we are missing in Nigeria: something far beyond redemption. If we as young Nigerians know what we are missing by having poor governance, we will indeed shun all forms of political gangsterism, mimicry, and all sorts of other things.

“We will decide to vote for Nigeria. And don’t vote for anybody. So, like a clarion call to everyone again, Nigeria is not the APC. Nigeria is not the PDP. Nigeria is not the Labor Party. Nigeria is us. And I beg every one of us who keep shouting for different political parties and for different politicians to please stop looking at their personal interests or their personal gain.

“Let’s look at the holistic gain for Nigeria.” Let’s look at the gains for the entire country. If the country is good and if it is progressing, nobody will have the desire to go for greener pastures outside Nigeria. And so, please, again, I thank every one of us as we look forward to the 2023 election. Let us vote for the future of our children. Let us vote for the future of the unborn children.”

Opomulero wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
