A member of the East Consultative Forum (ECF) for Senator Adetokubo Abiru recently organized a road walk to shout out for All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed and the senator.
The walk conveyed by ECF Ikorodu North LCDA member, Mr. Halid Adeniyi-Akee, started at Sabo Ikorodu through garage, Ayangburen road and ended at the Ita-Elewa Mini Stadium, area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Speaking to the Kosofe Post, Halid, who is also known as Bravo, said the walk is a testament to the love the masses have for Ashiwaju and All Progressives Congress candidates.
He said, “It’s just because of the love we have for Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu to become our next president in 2023 and for Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to be reelected as the governor of Lagos State in 2023. And also for our Senator Adetokubo Abiru to be reelected as the senator for Lagos East Senatorial District, and also for Hon. Babajimi Benson to be reelected as a member of the House of Representatives. We organized this rally to shout out for them to talk to the youths that they are the right people to vote in the next election.”
While highlighting over 20 years of legacy policies, programs, and projects executed and implemented by Ashiwaju Tinubu, he described him as the most courageous, experienced, and productive candidate that Nigerians should entrust with their mandate in the February presidential poll.
He commended Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for transforming Lagos into London with the implementation of the railway system in Lagos State.
“We can see the outstanding blue light rail. This is just London in Nigeria. What Sanwoolu has just done—all these things at the designs of Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu—we can see in Lagos East, and we can see many things Senator Adetokubo Abiru has done as well. We can see the hospitals: 80-bed hospitals at Isiwu; a block of classrooms; a stadium; the Oluwo fish market; a 600-bursary scheme; a 300-million-dollar revolving loan; the Shagamu road construction; and others for the benefit of residents across the 5 LGAs and 11 Lcdas; a 600-bursary scheme; the Oluwo fish market.”
He noted that the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, the Honorable Babajimi Benson, has been facilitating a lot of zonal intervention projects.
He said APC candidates are the right people for proper development in our cities, in our country, and in our state, Lagos State.
He advised the youths to be focused and to know the right choices before them, saying, “These people that I have mentioned are the right APC candidates; they are the ones to be voted in next year. And we have started doing house-to-house campaigning for our people, especially the youth, because they are the majority. So we have been speaking to them and telling them that APC candidates are the right people we will be voting for next year for Nigeria to develop our cities and Lagos State to develop appropriately.”
He said, apart from the road walk, the group is doing door-to-door campaigning, printing and pasting posters, and distributing campaign materials to support Sen. Adetokubo Abiru and all candidates of the APC.
“That’s part of the support we are providing. We are also organizing posters because some people are asking for them. We are also organizing posters for all our candidates. And as I’ve said, we are talking to people. So we are doing many things to make sure our APC candidates are voted for in next year’s election,” the convener Halid said.
