Pa Sabur Kayode Ojasugbo-Bilesanmi, who was born on January 19, 1937, celebrated his 86th birthday at his residence in Lagos State on January 21, 2023.
The family, friends, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and neighbors are present to celebrate the octogenarian.
A son of the celebrant, Bioedge Managing Director Temitope Bilesanmi, said Baba is hale and hearty.
He said, “This Baba is my father; the distance my father can trek,” saying that, as young as I am, we the so-called youths cannot cover the distance Baba can trek. He can trek three times my distance. “Baba is very strong.”
The celebrant’s daughter, Bolanle Lawal Baba, noted that if she began to pay her tributes, the guests may not leave that very day.
She said, “In fact, if I start Baba’s story, we won’t leave here today. Baba happens to be a wonderful man, very religious and dedicated. He has been so inspiring to us since we were young that when it comes to religion, we don’t joke with him at all.”
She gives praise and honor to the Almighty for the celebrant’s life and prays for more sound health and a long life.
Also, the eldest son, Tunde Bilesanmi, while wishing the celebrant long life, prosperity, and good health, thanked the numerous guests for gracing the occasion.
The publisher of the famous Kosofe Post, Bilesanmi Abayomi, said Baba Manager, or “Daddy Agba,” as he is fondly called, is an actively caring, loving, energetic, and God-fearing father.
He said, “Baba, you have come this far into this new spectacular age. I pray that God, who has kept you so much, will preserve your health and joy. You will enjoy the remaining days on earth with satisfaction.”
The highlight of the event was the moment the celebrant bounced forward without being assisted to cut the birthday cake and dance.
