Over the weekend, Canada-based Nigerian Abiola Omolade Olaleye and Doctor Olalekan Abdul tied the knot at a glamorous wedding held in Lagos.
The engagement event held at the Hadassah event place of Ogudu in the area of Kosofe attracted guests from home and abroad.
Captains of industry, medical practitioners, bankers, financial consultants, and traditional and religious leaders were among the professionals who graced the memorable occasion.
The highlight of the event was the reception, when the couples danced and cut the wedding cake. After the party, family and friends stepped out with their dancing shoes to celebrate with Abdul and his wife.
Earlier, speaking on behalf of the couples, the elated groom, Dr. Lookman Olalekan Abdul, thanked the guests for gracing the occasion.
In his words, “From the bottom of my heart, my family, and my wife’s family, I thank every one of us for making this great occasion a huge success.”

While declaring that such an event won’t be the last everyone will celebrate with each other, he prayed for the dignitaries’ safe return to their various destinations.
An in-law of the groom, Mr. Lekan Lekuti, described the wedding as a success, saying that “we thank God for today and also thank Him for the event of today. We have been praying for this moment to happen, and now we are so happy to be alive to see it. We wish a long life together and a happy married life,” he concluded.
The publisher of the Kosofe Post, Bilesanmi Abayomi, who is also an in-law to the groom, said, “While congratulating the couple, described the occasion as a wedding anniversary. I will describe this event as their wedding anniversary because they have been married for over 20 years and they have grown children in higher institutions. I wish the couple peace, more joy, and God’s protection as they return to their destination in Canada. This is a testament that love is really beautiful,” he noted.
The Kosofe Post reported previously that the bride’s mother, Pastor Mrs. Dorcas Adetoun Olaleye, celebrated her 80th birthday last week.
