A resident of the Okeowo area of Kosofe Local Government, Adeniyi Adefemi, has described the candidate of the Social Democratic Party for Kosofe Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Lanre Carew, as having promise and failing.
Adeniyi made the remarks in reaction to a post on the Facebook handle of the SDP candidate while seeking the people’s votes on Monday.
He noted that over a week after Carew promised to construct a borehole, he is yet to redeem his promise.
He added that when his opponent, Mr. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde of the All Progressives Congress, promised the same borehole, it was delivered in record time and the project is set for commissioning.
In his words, “Mr. Promise and fail. Na so u promise the Okeowo people borehole, that they will start last week Tuesday, this is another Tuesday coming no borehole, When Hon Okla promised, he fulfilled, promised us the borehole the next day work starts within 4 days the project set for commissioning. I will rather vote for someone who has the community at heart, like Mr. Talk and Do. “APC we know, and APC we will vote.”
The call and messages sent to the SDP candidate were not returned at the time of posting this report.
According to Kosofe Post findings, the lack of pipe-borne water at the Lagos State Water Corporation Board is one of the major problems across the Kosofe Federal Constituency, which necessitated interventions from federal lawmakers, Agboyi Ketu, LCDC chairman, individuals, and private organizations.
