The PDP Candidate for Kosofe Federal House of Representatives, Mrs Florence Da-Costa Adepegba, has expressed her confidence in victory in the ongoing House of Representatives election. Adepegba made this known after casting her vote in Kosofe, Lagos on Saturday.
In a brief chat with newsmen, the PDP candidate said she was hopeful and confident of victory, as she had done her bit and trusted in God.
Adepegba also commended the massive turnout of voters, saying that it indicated that people were determined to exercise their franchise and change the narrative in the country.
However, the candidate expressed concerns over some polling units where PDP agents were not allowed to work. She called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that all parties were given equal opportunity to participate in the election.
Adepegba also disclosed that there was a report of a fight in Irawo, where the PDP agent had to call the Department of State Services (DSS) to intervene and restore order.
Despite the hiccups, Adepegba maintained that the process had been peaceful so far and expressed optimism that she would be announced as the winner by the end of the day or tomorrow.
