The Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, has called on the people of the constituency to come out and vote for the re-election of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State Governor in the upcoming March 18 gubernatorial poll.
At a BATCO Mandate rally spearheaded by Rep. Agunsoye, he urged Lagosians to look beyond tribal affiliations and cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to align with the party at the federal level. He pointed out that Sanwo-Olu had performed excellently since assuming office, citing the governor’s ability to increase Lagos State’s internally generated revenue (IGR) to 51 billion naira monthly, as well as his landmark infrastructural projects across the state.
The Lawmaker noted that he had served under several administrations in Lagos, including Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Raji Fashola, emphasizing that he is from Osun State, but Lagos is liberal and should not be divided by non-indigenes sentiments.
The BATCO Mandate rally, which began at Emmanuel High Street Ojota, was said to be the most effective and impactful rally in Kosofe Federal Constituency in recent times. Thousands of Mandate group members, donning branded yellow T-shirts and caps of the Lagos State Governor, scoured the streets, major roads, and markets in Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu, and Ikosi-Isheri in a very long procession.
Rep. Agunsoye visited notable places such as Ojota chemical market, Ogudu road, Ojota motor garage, Ikorodu road, Ketu motor garage, Mile 12 international market, Ikosi road, CMD road, Shangisha, and Magodo Estate, interacting with constituents one-on-one and appealing to them to re-elect the Lagos State Governor for a second term in office.
He also formally named a triangular park in the Mile 12 international market after Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, recognizing his contributions to the development of Lagos State.
The BATCO Mandate rally ended with Rep. Agunsoye calling on the people of the constituency to come out en masse on March 18 and vote for the re-election of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State Governor.
