Olu of Agboyi lays foundation for a 40-bed public health center in Agboyi

Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, witnessed a historic event on Tuesday as HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega laid the foundation for a 40-bed public health center in Agboyi.

The project, facilitated by the monarch’s office Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals, is expected to last for three months, commencing from March 2023.

Accompanied by Oloruba of Oruba Agboyi 2, HRM Oba Taiwo Adeshegun Lamina, Baales, and chiefs among others, Oba Monsuru Oladega thanked the Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, and Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu, for their role in making various projects in Agboyi a reality.

The monarch assured the community that no fewer than nine government projects, completed, ongoing, and prospecting, will benefit the larger community when completed.

He also noted that the construction of a motorable bridge has been secured but was affected by petitions from residents around Estate community over some marked building for demolition, which delayed the project. However, he assured them of its completion in due time.

During the event, the site engineer Martins, Femi, said the Olu of Agboyi facilitated the projects through Mrs. Orelope Adefulure’s office OSSAP-SDGs in Abuja. Femi thanked the people of Agboyi for the hospitality and accommodation for the project to kickoff without any hindrances.

The Special Assistant on politics (South West), to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and soil of the soil, Prince Ladega Ibrahim moderated the foundation laying event.

The Olu of Agboyi used the opportunity to appeal for votes for the ruling party and reminded the residents of Agboyi that all the developmental projects in Agboyi community were secured from the APC-led Local Council, state, and federal Government.

He thanked the residents on behalf of the Governor for delivering the two federal wards during the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly election to APC and further encouraged them to double their efforts and cast their votes overwhelmingly on Saturday for Babajide Sanwoolu as Governor of Lagos State.

The foundation laying for the 40-bed public health center is a significant milestone for the community of Agboyi, and it is expected to provide better healthcare services for the residents when completed.
