The political landscape in Kogi State took an interesting turn with the appointment of Hon. Oromidayo Balogun as the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on State agencies relation. The appointment was confirmed by Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the Governor of Kogi State in a letter dated February 22, 2023.
Hon. Oromidayo Balogun is a seasoned politician and businessman with a second-class upper degree in political science from Babcock University, Nigeria. He was a former aspirant for the Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area Chairmanship in 2021, where he demonstrated his leadership qualities and commitment to the progress of the state.
According to sources, Hon. Balogun has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the welfare of the people in the state. His appointment as the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on State agencies relation is seen as a recognition of his hard work and dedication to the party and the state.
The Governor of Kogi State, Yayaha Belo, who approved the appointment, expressed his confidence in Hon. Balogun’s ability to carry out the responsibilities of his new position effectively.
