On Tuesday, Oloye Oluwaseun Salami, a social critic and community developer, congratulated Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, popularly known as OKLA, over his electoral victory in the just concluded Lagos State House of Assembly election in Kosofe Constituency I.
According to reports from Kosofe Post, the incumbent lawmaker was declared the winner of the election by the Returning Officer, Prof. Ismaila Adeleke, on Sunday.
In his congratulatory message, Salami commended OKLA for his hard-fought victory, which he said was achieved amidst primordial hatred, confrontation, opposition, and threats from within the same political party.
Salami also extended his appreciation to the GAC leaders, Otunba Busura Alebiosu, Omo’ba Muyiwa Sosanya, and other uncompromising leaders, as well as the revered royal fathers across Kosofe Constituency I, for their unwavering support to the party.
Salami further called for discipline in the party and the sanctioning of erring members who worked against the success of the party in the just concluded elections.
He emphasized that it would be a grievous assault and injustice if saboteurs were allowed to remain in the party without paying the price for their political coup d’etat against the party.
Salami concluded his message by congratulating himself and other members of the Media Team for a job well done, stating that despite all the odds and threats, they were resolute and determined throughout the struggle to ensure that the progress of Kosofe Constituency I was not truncated by greedy and overambitious politicians.
