The All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Ikosi Isheri LCDA have joined other well-wishers to celebrate their Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Olatunbo Alli, on the occasion of his birthday. Alli, who clocked a year older on April 8, was commended for his successful management of the party affairs without violence or attacks within a short period since he assumed office.
Friends, family members, APC members, women groups, youth groups, and community leaders showered praises on him and prayed for many more happy returns in good health and wealth. It is worth noting that during the just-concluded Presidential election in Kosofe, Alli’s Ward F was among the three out of 10 wards that delivered for APC, and he went on to deliver other wards under his jurisdiction during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections to APC candidates.
Alli’s demonstrated competency during the 2023 general elections earned him the trust of party members and prospective contestants from the Alli-led Executives.
His second critical assignment would be the next Chairmanship and Councilorship election, which is currently gathering momentum as some APC members recently commenced their subtle publicity and awareness campaign activities.
APC members and prospective contestants expect Alli’s administration to relocate the temporary LGA Secretariat from Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Council premises to either a public school or new venue for general assembly meetings that would be devoid of executive interference.
This is coming after the eviction of the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA APC from its former party secretariat at Ekiti area of the council due to unpaid rent arrears, forcing the party to move its activities.
