Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, Member House of Representatives, Kosofe Federal Constituency, has extended his warm greetings to all Christian faithful in Kosofe and beyond on the commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Agunsoye made this known in a message issued in Lagos on Sunday, where he encouraged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of unity, patriotism, and brotherhood during the Easter celebration.

According to him, the season of Easter signifies a new beginning and renewed hope, not only for Christians but also for the country, as the recently concluded presidential election provides a renewed hope in the annals of the nation.
“The moment indeed calls for unity of purpose, patriotism, and brotherhood. Today’s celebration of the Lord Jesus’ resurrection after his crucifixion reminded us of the triumph of the Son of God over death, sins, iniquities, tribulations, and darkness of the earthly realm,” he said.
Agunsoye also emphasized that Nigerians should rise above petty primordial sentiments and parochialism and work for the common good of the nation. He urged everyone to eschew highly divisive religious bigotry and tribal jingoism that could plunge the country into another intractable, retrogressive political crisis.
“As we celebrate Easter Sunday today, I enjoin everyone to deeply imbibe and make use of those virtues and great lessons inherent in the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. This will serve as an elevation of our consciousness and the betterment of our dear nation,” he said.
Agunsoye concluded by praying that the resurrection of the Lord Jesus would wash away the sins of Nigerians, inspire them to a greater height, and engender a life of abundance, prosperity, love, peace, and tranquillity in the country.
