Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, organized a Ramadan lecture on the importance of love and tolerance in Nigerian society. The event was attended by a large crowd of distinguished personalities and residents from the locality and beyond.
During the lecture, Mayor Dele Oshinowo emphasized the need for Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and sacrifice for one another, stating that the lack of love is the reason for human beings engaging in criminal acts.
The guest lecturer, Chief Imam Suleiman Idris, spoke on the topic “Expectation of Citizens from their Leaders” and described patience as the greatest attribute for a leader to emerge successful in their administrative doings. He also urged leaders to strengthen feedback mechanisms to ensure that the populace takes complete ownership of their operations and appoint individuals who would tell them the truth.
In his vote of thanks, Alhaji Daud Abdulsalam, the Chairman of the League of Imams in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, commended the council chairman for his good administrative approach in ensuring that all angles of governance are touched.
The event was a huge success, with many attendees taking home valuable insights on the importance of love, tolerance, and effective leadership in Nigerian society.
