The President of Succour for Health and Education Foundation, Hon.Samuel Olanrewaju Adebayo (SOA) has joined the rest of Kosofe in felicitating with the Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment in Lagos, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, on her 63rd birthday.
In a statement released to Kosofe Post, SOA described the commissioner as a mother and an outstanding political leader who has contributed immensely to the social, economic, political development, and growth of Kosofe and Lagos State at large.
He further wrote, “Your entire life is inspiring, and on your 63rd birthday, I wish you nothing but joy and happiness. May you celebrate this day and all your future birthdays surrounded by family and loved ones.”
Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, who was born on May 6, 1960, had her primary school education at Ikeja Primary School, after which she left for Multi-Lateral Grammar School, Okun_Owa, Ogun State. Thereafter, she attended Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode Ogun State, for her A-Level, and upon completion, she was admitted into the University of Ibadan where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree [B.Sc] in Political Science with Second Class Upper in 1983. Still in quest of knowledge, she proceeded to Lagos State University for post-graduate studies and came out with a Master in Public Administration [M.PA] in 2008.
She started her private business immediately after the National Youth Service dealing in Computers and Accessories. This resulted in the establishment of other successful businesses that has seen her as Chief Executive Officer of different companies which include: Data-Point Nigeria Limited, Compu-Point Nigeria Limited, Taseto Nigeria Limited, and Ipod Properties Nigeria Limited, among others.
Mrs. Arobieke’s foray into politics saw her serving in different political offices as the first Executive Secretary of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in 2003 after which she became the First Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA between 2004 and 2007.
She was equally the second Executive Secretary of the same LCDA between April 2007 and July 2008, and the Second Executive Chairman of the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA between October 2008 – 2011.
She was appointed as Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs by Governor Sanwo-Olu in 2019 and was recently redeployed to the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment in January 2020 where she is currently serving.
Mrs. Arobieke’s remarkable achievements and contributions to the development of Lagos State have earned her several accolades and recognitions, and her birthday has provided yet another opportunity for those whose lives she has impacted positively to celebrate her.
