Owa of Idanre Kingdom, NNPC Board Member Commiserate with Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye over Wife’s Demise

His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, (JP) OFR, the esteemed Owa of Idanre Kingdom and Paramount ruler of Idanre Land, alongside Chief Pious Akinyelure, Board Member of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, have expressed their condolences to Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye on the passing of his beloved wife.

The monarch, Oba Aroloye, conveyed his deep sadness upon learning of the untimely departure of Late Chief Mrs. Caroline Akinfeleye, fondly known as Yeye Gbekonuyi of Idanre Kingdom. He described the event as profoundly saddening and highly unfortunate.

Immediately upon receiving the sad news, Oba Aroloye personally reached out to Prof. Akinfeleye, urging him to view the loss as an act of God, who bestows and takes away, a decision beyond human control. The monarch offered prayers for the departed soul, asking that the kind-hearted and zealous woman of exceptional character find eternal rest. He also prayed for Prof. Akinfeleye and the entire family, requesting that they find the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

In a gesture of solidarity, Oba Aroloye delegated Chief Dr. Anthony Omolola, the President General of Idanre Development Assembly and Otunba Atuluse of Idanre Land, to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief (Mrs.) Caroline Akinfeleye, the Yeye Gbekonuyi of Idanre Kingdom. Chief Omolola, representing the entire community of Idanre Land, expressed condolences and fervently prayed for the prevention of untimely deaths, not only in the Akinfeleye family but throughout the entire Idanre Land.

Additionally, Hon. Adedeji Oshinowo, the Host Councilor representing Ward C in the Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Kosofe, who is also an in-law to Prof. Akinfeleye, paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family. During the visit, Chief Akinyelure of Idanre Kingdom, who recently visited the area, joined Hon. Oshinowo to express his sympathies to the grieving family. The gathering at the residence of the Akinfeleye family in Abiola Estate, Ikosi Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos, was filled with heartfelt condolences and prayers.

On May 14, President Muhammad Buhari, through his Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Femi Adesina, extended his condolences to the Akinfeleye family.

The loss of Chief Mrs. Caroline Akinfeleye has reverberated through various communities, with dignitaries and well-wishers offering their support and heartfelt sympathies to Prof. Akinfeleye and his family during this difficult time.
