A concerned resident, Mr. Christopher Olugbo, has reached out to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, regarding the distressing condition of the roof at Anthony Model Nursery and Primary School. Olugbo’s plea for urgent intervention comes after witnessing the leaking roof firsthand during a recent rainfall.

In a heartfelt chat and video clip sent to Kosofe Post on Friday, Olugbo passionately appealed to both Hon. Ogunlewe and Hon. Babatunde Okanlawon Sanni, emphasizing the immediate need for renovations to address the deteriorating state of the school.

“I want to use this medium to reach the council chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, and Hon. Babatunde Okanlawon Sanni that Anthony Model Nursery and Primary School needs immediate attention for renovations. This happened during the rain today in the morning,” Olugbo wrote.

The leaky roof poses a significant concern for the school community, as it not only compromises the integrity of the building but also jeopardizes the safety and comfort of the students and staff. With the rainy season in full swing, the situation becomes even more urgent, requiring immediate action to prevent further damage.

Despite the gravity of the situation, the Kosofe Local Government Education Authority’s Education Secretary, Hon. Tunde Soneye, has yet to respond to inquiries made by Kosofe Post regarding the state of the school.

The lack of a response from the Education Secretary has left residents like Olugbo anxious and seeking the attention of higher authorities to ensure the welfare and educational environment of the children attending Anthony Model Nursery and Primary School.
