On February 1, the political elite, friends, and associates descended upon the Kosofe Council Secretariat along Ogudu road, Ojota, to mark the 40th birthday celebration of Hon. (Barr.) Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe local government.

The grand event saw the presence of distinguished personalities, including Hon Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, a member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Hon. Sanni Babatunde Okanlawon, Member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1. Other notable figures included Commissioner, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Hon. Musiliu Alade Aigoro, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Kosofe Chapter, Alhaji Kehinde Bello, Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman Mayor Dele Oshinowo, and IKOSI Isheri LCDA chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada.

Kosofe Post gathered that the birthday celebration earned commendations from guests for its sensitivity to public sentiments. Notably, the event featured a moderate celebration without mandatory and costly Aso Ebi, eschewing the extravagant spending often associated with such occasions. This conscious decision stood in stark contrast to some counterparts who host lavish parties funded by taxpayers’ money.

Concerned residents of Kosofe Federal Constituency used the occasion to call on other local government chairmen to adopt a more restrained approach to celebrations, considering the prevailing economic reality.
