Mrs. Jumoke Dairo, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, recently paid a visit to Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, the leader of the Governor Advisory Council in Lagos East Senatorial District. The visit has sparked speculations about a potential reconciliation within the party, particularly among members allegedly involved in anti-party activities during the last general elections.

According to sources from Kosofe Post, Mrs. Jumoke Dairo visited the octogenarian leader last week Thursday, followed by a subsequent visit on Monday, accompanied by other APC members. It was reported that these members were among those who had worked against the party’s candidates during the previous polls.
During the elections, several aggrieved APC members, commonly known as “anti-candidates,” had supported the APC’s presidential, senatorial, and House of Representatives candidates, with the exception of Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, the lawmaker representing Kosofe constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly. Okanlawon, who narrowly won re-election, is currently facing a challenge from the Labour Party candidate at the Election Tribunal.
When contacted by Kosofe Post, Mrs. Jumoke Dairo responded, stating that her visit was purely personal and was meant as a courtesy visit to a respected elder. However, some insiders have speculated that the visit may be part of a larger effort by aggrieved APC members to reconcile with the party and regain their political privileges.
Prior to this visit, Kosofe Post had reported that numerous APC members were calling for an end to the infighting that occurred during the 2023 general elections. These members urged political leaders within the party to follow the example set by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and his predecessor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, who recently embraced peace and unity for the progress of the APC family.
