Councilor MKO Arowolo, the Majority Leader of Igbogbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Legislative Arm, has reached out to the Lagos State Public Works Cooperation (PWC) seeking critical support for the construction and fixing of Owode-Ibeshe Road in Ikorodu, Lagos.

In a formal letter titled “Request for Your Support in the Construction/Fixing of Owode-Ibeshe Road,” Arowolo passionately appealed for the agency’s intervention to address the deplorable state of the road, which poses significant challenges, especially during adverse weather conditions. The letter, sighted by Kosofe Post and dated July 25, was officially received by the PWC on July 28, 2023.

Acknowledging the commendable projects carried out by the agency across Lagos State, Arowolo highlighted the urgent need to prioritize the repair of Owode-Ibeshe Road for the benefit of the community’s residents and commuters.

“It is on this note that we write to your honorable office, to inform you about the deplorable state of the road in Owode-Ibeshe, my constituent, and to request your honorable office’s support for the construction/fixing of the road to make it motorable for the good of Owode-Ibeshe community,” expressed the Majority Leader.

Drawing attention to the significant presence of the community, Arowolo emphasized the criticality of prompt action. Owode-Ibeshe boasts a vibrant community with a royal father and more than one hundred (100) active Community Development Associations (CDAs), in addition to being home to the highest dredger in the Ikorodu division.

Undisclosed visuals were attached to the appeal, demonstrating the current precarious condition of the road, with concerns of frequent accidents leading to hazardous circumstances for road users.

With the collective well-being of the residents, commuters, motorists, and the general Ibeshe community at heart, the Majority Leader earnestly anticipated a swift and positive response from the Lagos State Public Works Cooperation to alleviate the burdens faced by the people of Owode-Ibeshe.
