Renowned Gospel musician Zionlady brought an electrifying blend of worship and praise to Lagos on Thursday as she launched not one, but two soul-stirring albums. The event, streamed live across social platforms, witnessed the participation of other talented Gospel artists including Beauty Gold, Okomiyo, and Harmony, creating an atmosphere of divine connection for thousands of viewers.
The first of the albums, “Baba Gbe mi” (Lift me oh Lord), consists of four powerful tracks: “Apata Aiyeraye,” “Baba Gbemi,” “Mo Gbe Jesus mi ru,” and “Mo ti Ready.” The second album, “Ope mi Po” (Thanksgiving), presents an equally uplifting collection of songs including “Am connected,” “Ope mi Po,” “Isokan/Unity,” and “Mo ti Ready.”
Zionlady, who made a transition from banking to Gospel music, revealed that her decision to release studio albums was driven by a desire to reach a wider audience and amplify the glory of God through her music. During her performance at the launch, she passionately shared her conviction that she would continue spreading God’s greatness as long as she breathes.
Reflecting on the memorable launch, Zionlady expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am overwhelmed and happy. I bless God for what He has done in my life today. It’s a double album, and it’s not easy to put together about 9 songs. It’s the grace of God and raw talent.”
With heartfelt appreciation, Zionlady extended her thanks to fellow artists, guests, bands, fans, and the online community for their unwavering support. She urged her global fan base to secure their copies of “Baba Gbe mi” and “Ope mi Po” through both physical and digital platforms.
Among the performers at the launch was Adebayo Amoloja, popularly known as Okomiyo. He praised Zionlady’s accomplishments and deemed the two albums a “must-listen-to” experience. Beauty Olomoshindera, also known as Beauty Gold, lauded Zionlady as a mentor and a musician who consistently touches lives through her soulful melodies.
