The Oshogun community under Agboyi Ketu, Kosofe, has been plunged into mourning yet again, as the Ojurayo family grapples with their second loss in a span of three weeks. Madam Ajoke Ojurayo, the wife of Alhaji Yunusa Sadiku-Ojurayo, breathed her last just barely three weeks after the passing of Alhaji Yunusa’s third wife, Mrs. Fausat Ashabi Sadiku-Ojurayo Nee Williams.
The somber news was confirmed by the eldest daughter of the family, Alhaja Muyibat Folashade, who expressed profound grief as she recounted the unfortunate demise of her octogenarian mother. Mrs. Ojurayo, an 80-year-old, who had steadfastly maintained her Christian faith until her final moments, peacefully departed this world in Lagos on a fateful Wednesday.
According to Alhaja Muyibat Folashade’s announcement to Kosofe Post on Thursday, the family is reeling from the double tragedy, having lost two beloved family members in such quick succession. The matriarch’s body has been respectfully placed in a morgue as preparations are made for her final journey. The community has been invited to join in commemorating her life and offering songs of praise on September 14, with the final arrangements scheduled for September 15.
The Oshogun community, known for its resilience and close-knit nature, now rallies around the Ojurayo family once again, providing solace and support during this trying period.
