In a recent interview with Kosofe Post, Beauty Gold opened up about her life, faith, music, makeup artistry, and her roles on the home front.
Kosofe Post: What motivated you to join Gospel Music?
Beauty Gold: I was born into a Christian home and grew up in a church where my music journey began. I had a Christian background, but it wasn’t until over six years ago that I had a personal encounter with God. Ever since, I’ve been pursuing my music ministry, and I thank God Almighty for it. Whenever I go out to minister, I can only see the spirit of God in everything I do.
KP: How many programs have you performed?
BG: Honestly speaking, I have lost count.
KP: How long have you been into gospel music?
BG: It’s been more than six years now.
KP: Can you mention a few of your role models?
BG: I have many role models. ZionLady is one of them; I love her songs and find them truly inspirational. Others include Adeyinka Alaseyori and Tope Alabi.
KP: Apart from gospel music, what other business are you into?
BG: I’ve mentioned it before, I’m also a makeup artist and a makeup instructor.
KP: You are a musician, songwriter, makeup artist, Choir Leader, Mother, and Wife. How do you find time to balance everything?
BG: It hasn’t been easy, but with God’s grace and the support of my husband and manager, among others, I’ve been able to balance my various roles.
KP: Have you launched any album?
BG: Yes, very soon, my album will be released. I’m still working on it, and despite the logistical challenges, we are making all the necessary arrangements. It will be launched very soon.
KP: What is your advice to upcoming gospel musicians?
BG: My advice to them is simple: when God calls you, stand firm in that call. Don’t look for other paths to follow; trust that the Lord who called you will make a way for you. Even if God has called you to sing, it doesn’t mean you should abandon your other pursuits. Maintain your humble lifestyle and see how it can complement your music career or business.
