The Muslim College Oworonshoki Old Student’s Association, commonly known as MUSCOOSA, based in Oworonshoki, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, has extended their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family of the late singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Imole Aloba. The association, comprising members from the 1987 Set, recently visited the residence of the bereaved family in Ikorodu to share in their sorrow during this challenging time.
The passing of Mohbad at the tender age of 27 on September 12, 2023, under unclear circumstances, sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry and his fanbase. His untimely death led to a flurry of conspiracy theories and raised questions that demanded answers.
In response, the police initiated a high-powered investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise. This thorough investigation eventually led to the exhumation of the deceased’s body, which had been laid to rest just a day after his passing.
Further scrutiny into the matter came from the Lagos State judiciary, which recently commenced a coroner’s inquest. This inquiry was initiated at the behest of human rights lawyer Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Amid these investigations and legal proceedings, the family, friends, and fans of the late singer are joining forces to make the necessary arrangements for a fitting and dignified burial. The final resting place chosen is the Ebony Vault in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.
