The Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Hon. Joseph Olatokunbo Talabi, expressed heartfelt congratulations to Lady Christine Doja Otedola, matriarch of the Otedola Dynasty, on receiving a Fellowship award from Yaba College of Technology during its 35th convocation ceremony on November 23, 2023.
In a released statement, Hon. Talabi conveyed his delight, recognizing Lady Doja Otedola as a proud daughter of Oru-Ijebu in Ogun state and former First Lady of Lagos state. He praised her for the well-deserved honor, emphasizing her significant contributions to the institution of learning and her enduring impact on the younger generation.
Describing her as an epitome of womanhood, an inspiration, and a strong supporter of women and youth, Hon. Talabi highlighted Lady Doja Otedola’s commitment to social justice, philanthropy, and advocacy for the voiceless. He celebrated her distinguished career in public service, noting her role in shaping Nigeria’s growth and development.
“On behalf of my family, the people of Oru-Ijebu, and the entire Ogun State, I wish to congratulate our amiable mother, Lady Christine Doja Otedola, on her conferment of Fellowship award by the oldest institution in the country, Yaba College of Technology. We are so proud of you!” expressed Hon. Talabi.
He prayed for Lady Doja Otedola’s continued good health and wisdom, expressing hopes that she would persist in her impactful contributions to the community, state, and the nation at large.
