Mrs. Tawakalitu Oshinowo, wife of the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, reaffirmed the commitment of the Mayor Dele administration to protect the girl child from abuse and pave the way for a brighter future. This commitment was emphasized during the decoration ceremony of Councillor Oluwatoyin Odegbesan as the Commandant of Girls’ Brigade (District 11).
The event, held at Christ Anglican Church, Alapere, drew a substantial crowd as Mrs. Oshinowo elaborated on the pivotal role of Girls’ Brigade in fostering spiritual, moral, and physical growth among girls. She highlighted the LCDA’s dedication to collaborating extensively with the organization’s new leadership to instill guiding principles and core values that would empower and train the girl child in Agboyi-Ketu.
Councillor Oluwatoyin Odegbesan, the newly appointed Commandant, encouraged parents to actively involve their children in the Girls’ Brigade, emphasizing that it offers a righteous path for personal progress in life. The program evaluate a collective commitment to nurturing a generation of empowered and resilient young women in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
