Mayor Dele Oshinowo Presents ₦3.25 bn budget to Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council

The Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo has presented a budget of 3.25bn to the Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council for the 2021 fiscal year today.

The financial plan tagged”Budget of Consolidation” provided 1.1bn for capital expenditure and 2.1bn for recurrent expenditure.

Tha Chairman noted that the increase in the recurrent expenditure was as a result of the teaching and non-teaching primary school staff salary captured in the budget.

Mayor Dele further noted that the year 2020 was a challenging one for the LCDA, but noted that inspite of the rough sojourn, the LCDA could still illuminate its nooks and crannies with massive development.

“It is general knowledge that in the last year 2020, the economic environment globally was challenging as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.”

“Thus, I am glad to inform this noble House that inspite of the rough sojourn, our administration was able to deliver on the wishes of our people, this is evident with the illumination of all nooks and crannies of our LCDA with massive development.”

” Recently, the presence of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu to commission our ultra-modern administrative building approved by this forward-thinking and cooperative Legislative House, speaks volume and corroborates our working quest for a better Agboyi-Ketu.”

The Chairman further commended the Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council for their avowed commitment to work with the Executive.

“May I conclude my remarks by commending and thanking profusely our revered, distinguished and honorable members of the Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council for their avowed commitment to cooperate with the Executive in accelerating development and enhancing the welfare and well-being of our people.”

The Leader of the House Hon. Tajudeen Akinyemi commended the council mayor for blazing the trail to surpass the expectations of all and sundry, assuring that the House would work on the proposed budget acceleratedly for a quick passage.

At the presentation were the Vice-Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Alhaji Mufa Okusi, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Seyi Ikuejuyone and Supervisor of Budget and Planning, Hon.(Mrs.) Folake Kayode.

Others were the Council Manager, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sonate Adebanji, Council Treasurer, Mrs. Anthonia Owolabi and Head of Department, Budget and Planning, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Folorunsho Toyin.
