Amidst growing controversy surrounding the allocation of N100 million worth of rice by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for Christmas palliatives, the lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, remains tight-lipped, leaving constituents seeking answers.
In a surprising twist, it has come to light that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu provided 50 bags of rice each to members of the Lagos House Reps Caucus for distribution to their constituents. While this adds another layer to the ongoing discourse, Ogbara’s silence on the initial palliative allocation raises more questions than answers.
Dauda, a staunch supporter of Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, criticized Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman Opomulero for questioning the lawmaker’s actions, stating, “Sometimes silence is the best response to those frequently asking questions from their representatives.”
As residents persist in their quest for information regarding the undisclosed Christmas palliatives from the presidency and Governor Sanwoolu’s allocation, the sealed lips of Hon. Kafilat Ogbara prompt heightened reactions from community stakeholders across Kosofe.
Efforts to obtain comments from Hon. Kafilat Ogbara were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report. The community awaits official communication from her to shed light on the lingering mystery surrounding the Christmas palliatives.
