Residents of two Federal wards in Agboyi are singing praises for Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos. The commendation stems from her groundbreaking Christmas palliatives initiative, which included the donation of two cows among other essentials to the Agboyi Island community.

Speaking exclusively to Kosofe Post, residents expressed gratitude, highlighting that Hon. Ogbara stands out as the first Federal lawmaker to extend such generous gestures to the two federal wards in Agboyi for Christmas celebrations.

Oloye Salami Oluwaseun, contributing to the “Tell us what’s happening around your Communities” section, acknowledged the rumored Christmas palliatives from the presidency to federal lawmakers. However, he specifically commended Hon. Ogbara for her outstanding efforts, emphasizing her role as the first female Kosofe Federal lawmaker in the last six months in office.

Oluwaseun stated, “She has done well in her steps thus far. In fact, during this Christmas period, our traditional rulers received a cow and other fringe benefits as festive palliatives. Also, party members and residents across the constituency received Christmas gifts and cash. I believe she has started on a good footing, and I pray she will end well.”

Despite the positive feedback, some residents in Kosofe disclosed to Kosofe Post that the distributed items seemed to favor APC members and the lawmaker’s supporters exclusively.

Coming to the aid of the less privilege people at this trying time is commendable, but our Our Hon House of Representative Member should focus more on programmes and projects that will bring our people our of poverty. However, she should be remained that the good people of Kosofe will not judge her performance based on the numbers of cows distributed during festive periods but based on her performance on the floor of the house , numbers of Constituency projects nominated & executed and how she carried out her oversight functions. She should also beware of political sycophants. They are chop and clean mouth oooo-Abdulwaheed Odunuga.

Absolutely… We appreciate her kindness but she need not to be carried away particularly not to be deceived by loyalist whose interest is to syphoned… *Comr Mudashiru Ismaila Alabi*

I quite agreed with you but Hon ogbara performance is not only on floor of the house sir, it also include how he performed at her constituency and little opportunity like jobs that she can bring back to the constituency and empowerment of her constituency. She should try and play all inclusive politics rather than segregation politics -Sola ikumelo

Yes. I remember an Interview of a federal lawmaker granted. He said meeting the demand of the masses./legislative duties goes beyond speaking/Lawmaking at the hallow chamber. You need to do basic infrastructure, bring employment opportunities Before the masses. Same goes to hon. Kafilat ogbara. Legislative matters is not about the praise singing . Lawmaking is a serious legislative business. She needs to do more to meet the needs of the masses. – *Lanre Aborisade*.
