Former Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area Vice Chairman, Abbey Martins, joined a gathering of dignitaries on Sunday to commemorate the 4-year remembrance of the late Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya at his magodo residence in Kosofe.
Among the notable guests present were Councilor Adekoya Gbadegoke, Councilor Yunusa Salami, and Hon. Thomas Ogunleye (Ikosi Isheri Vice Chairman), along with former council legislators, politicians, and community leaders.
During the solemn event, Islamic clerics delivered a brief sermon, offering prayers for the departed soul of Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya. The prayers also extended to seek forgiveness and mercy from God for his wife, children, and the Oyesco political family.
Prince Bidemi Akintunde-Stainless, an advocate for Equality, Inclusiveness, Development, And Open Door Policy, expressed gratitude for the time spent with the late Hon. Engr. Abdulfatai Ayodele Oyesanya. He described Oyesanya as a scholar, mentor, and a beacon of wisdom, highlighting his dedication to serving the community and unwavering commitment to justice.
The Kosofe Post reported on some of the enduring legacy projects initiated by the late council Chairman, including the Ikosi Isheri LCDA administrative block named Babajide Sanwoolu Administrative Building, Jakande International Fruits Market renamed Babajide Sanwoolu Shopping Complex, and various road projects, among others.
