Oluwaseyi Odufowokan, former Chief Press Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Kosofe, celebrated the completion of his MSC in Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
Odufowokan, among the over 15,000 joint students at the University’s 32nd and 33rd convocation ceremonies held from January 29 to January 31, 2024, expressed excitement about the newly sharpened skill set and its impact on his role in governance.
Speaking to Kosofe Post’s Principal Correspondent, Odufowokan reflected on his academic journey, stating, “I am proud of myself because the beginning was somewhat rough, but in the end, it was worth it.”
Addressing recent developments on international students studying in the UK, particularly the decision to limit dependants on student visas, Odufowokan advocated for the enhancement of domestic education in Nigeria.

“It is simple; what the government can do is enhance domestic educational infrastructure, competitive scholarship, investment in research facilities, and collaborate with other reputable institutions to elevate the standard of the education system,” he said. “Importantly, education should be accessible to everyone with offers of financial incentives to motivate individuals to embark on advanced study.”
Odufowokan, whose qualifications include academic achievements from the National Teacher’s Institute, BSc in Accounting from Lagos State University, Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) PGD in Broadcast Journalism, and membership in the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria, has added another milestone to his illustrious academic and professional journey.
